The Maritime Museum in Dusseldorf (proper name SchifffahrtMuseum) is one of the oldest museums in Germany. It is located in the castle tower near the Rhine river, the only remaining part of the City Palace and one of the most known city landmarks.

Special exhibition of the shipbuilding history, trade  and travel on the river Rhine takes part in it.
Archa display cases were done according to design of Dipl. Ing. Frank Liethmann. Dimension, form and display case equipment is modulated according to the room shape and case location. Ship models exhibited inside the cases required big inner space with big glass surface on visitors side. Glass door on Archa hidden hinges allows access big enought to easy handling with big ship models.

Because of Display case dimensions and narrow tower passages most of cases were build on site.
