Giuseppe Tartini Memorial Room

Presenting instruments that are still in use is a challenging job. A museum display case must at the same time guarantee high security and appropriate climatic conditions, and be easy enough to use for regular opening and tuning of the instruments.

The violin of the famous virtuoso Giuseppe Tartini is safely presented in our free-standing display case. Permanent museum collection is set up in Tartini’s house of birth in honour of Giuseppe Tartini (Piran, 8 April 1692 – Padua, 26 February 1770), the violin virtuoso, composer, music theorist and music pedagogue of global fame, undoubtedly the most prominent personality of the town of Piran.
In Archa beautiful freestanding case (designed by Delavnica, oblikovanje prostora d.o.o. architects) is exposed one of Tartini violin. Showcase is manufactured with Archa “Minimalistic top frame”, special lighting, microclimate conditions, safety glass and security systems.
